What to Send for a Quotation
A quotation is only as firm as the specification behind it. The five things that matter are product type, capacity, quantity, application and target date. Everything else — interface, speed requirement, branding, packaging, silicon preference — narrows the price further and saves a round of questions. If you have a drawing, a BOM or a specification you are trying to match, attach it. The more that is defined up front, the less the price moves later.
The minimum that gets a useful answer
- Product type — TF card, UDP module, USB flash drive, or semi-finished board
- Capacity
- Quantity
- Application — what the product goes into
- Target date
What narrows the price
| Detail | Why it changes the quote |
|---|---|
| Interface (USB 2.0 / 3.0) | Changes the controller and the board |
| Speed requirement (class or MB/s) | Changes silicon selection |
| Silicon preference or grade | The single biggest cost variable |
| Branding method | Print, engraving or mould — each has its own setup |
| Packaging | Bulk, retail or presentation, priced into the unit |
| Pre-loaded content | Changes the production flow |
| Delivery terms | Incoterms and destination affect landed cost |
What to attach
A drawing, a BOM, a previous specification you are matching, or artwork for printing. PDF, Excel, Word, CSV, images or a zipped folder — whatever you have. If a supplier quoted you a specification, send that too: it makes the comparison meaningful instead of nominal.
What you should get back
- The configuration in writing — capacity, interface, silicon source and grade, controller solution
- Unit price and total, with product, branding and packaging included
- MOQ, lead time and quotation validity period
- What is not included, stated rather than left implicit
Send your requirement
We reply to business enquiries within 1 business day. If you are comparing suppliers, send the specification you were quoted — it makes the comparison meaningful.
Request a quoteFrequently asked questions
Can I get a price without a full specification?
A range, yes — a firm price, no. If you are early, send what you know and we will tell you which open variables move the price most, so you can decide whether to fix them.
What if I am matching a competitor’s quote?
Send their specification with the enquiry. Without it, a lower price usually means a different grade rather than a better deal.
How long is a quotation valid?
Flash pricing moves with the NAND market, so validity is stated on the quotation. See how pricing is built for what drives the movement.
Do you need an NDA before I send my drawing?
Tell us what you need covered. We are used to working under NDA on device integration projects.
