Do you support USB Type-C only designs?

In short

Yes. USB-C is available on our USB drives and on UDP modules where the host calls for it, and it is increasingly the default for new products because one connector works across phones, laptops and peripherals. For a removable drive, USB-C is a connector choice; for an embedded UDP it is part of the host interface we build to. Tell us the host and whether you need a dual connector (USB-C plus USB-A) for backward compatibility, and we specify the connector in the build record so repeat batches stay identical.

Connector choices

USB-C only: the modern single connector, used where the host is current.

Dual USB-C + USB-A: one drive that fits both new and legacy ports, common for promotion.

Embedded UDP: the connector is set by your host, not by a general default.

What to confirm

The host and whether legacy ports must be supported. A dual connector adds a small cost but removes a compatibility complaint from your users.

Frequently asked questions

Is USB-C faster than USB-A?

Speed is set by the USB generation (2.0 or 3.0), not the connector shape. A USB-C drive on a USB 2.0 host runs at USB 2.0 speed.

Should I choose dual connector?

If your recipients have mixed hardware, yes — it avoids the "wrong port" problem. If the product is fixed to a modern host, USB-C only is cleaner.
